When is the Chilmark Road Race?
The Road Race occurs on the second Saturday of August each summer.
How do I register for the Road Race?
On line registration becomes available after June 30 of each year at www.coolrunning.com. Runners can also register via US Mail by obtaining a form from the Chilmark Community Center in July. It is highly recommended that you register early because this event fills up every year.
How do I get my number and Road Race tee-shirt?
Pick up of numbers and tee-shirts occurs on the Friday evening preceding the race and on the morning of the race. Check the registration form or www.coolrunning.com for exact times.
Is parking available on the day of the Road Race?
Yes, however on particularly nice days, parking does fill up, so please, carpool, arrive early, take the bus or better yet, don’t drive at all, come by foot or on your bike.
When does the Chilmark Community Center Summer Program start this summer?
The Summer Program usually begins around July 1 and ends around August 20. To find out the exact dates, look for the Center’s booklet in your mailbox in June.
What are the costs associated with the Summer Program?
Exact fees are usually set in the spring each year. Check the Summer Program page for the most recent seasons' fees.
Can I register my child for the Summer Program in advance?
No, registration for the Summer Program can only be done in person at the Chilmark Community Center once it opens for the summer on or about July 1 of each year.
What ages of children can participate in the Summer Program?
The Center welcomes children ages 4 - 14 years of age.
Who do I contact if I still have questions?

How do I obtain a beach pass?
Stickers and passes are on sale at Chilmark town hall. Visit the Town of Chilmark's website for more information about beach passes.
How do I apply for a summer job with the Chilmark Community Center?
When jobs are available, you can apply by submitting the on line application form, available on the Summer Program's page. Applications are typically accepted from January through April, depending upon when all positions for the season are filled.
How do I purchase advertising space in the Community Center's booket?
You can purchase advertising space in the booklet by contacting the Community Center prior to Memorial Day.
