Featuring acclaimed authors speaking at the Chilmark Community Center on evenings throughout the summer, the Author Lecture Series brings together leading authors and their fans for lively discussions on literature and topical issues.  The admission price for the lecture includes purchase of a book and is designed to support authors, publishers and independent book sellers.  Held on alternate years (even-number years), the Chilmark Community Center is pleased to next present the Author Lecture Series in the summer of 2014.  In the summer of 2011, the Author Lecture Series featured Richard Russo, Jennifer Egan, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and Peter Beinart and Alan Dershowitz.
