Chilmark Community Center Summer Program

Transportation:
The Chilmark Community Center is served by three bus routes (Route 4, 5, & 12). Routes 5 and 12 also serve Lucy Vincent Beach. The bus is a convenient way to travel around Chilmark and to Lucy Vincent Beach. For more information on bus service, click here.

Registration:
Registration is only available in person at the Center. Registration usually takes place around June 30 each year. The Summer Program usually runs from approximately July 1 - approximately August 20. The Play School Open House usually occurs around July 1; Play School program usually runs from approximately July 1 through approximately August 12.

Jobs:
Each year the Center hires numerous employees with the day to day operations of the Center. Summer job applications are accepted on line via this website starting in the spring of each year.

Statement of Policy:
During the summer program, children ages five and under shall not be left at the Center unless actually participating in a scheduled activity or accompanied by a parent or babysitter. The Center cannot be responsible for children who leave the building during programs or after 12:00 noon.

If Children or are sent to an activity designated for an age group other than their own, the Director and staff reserve the right to ask the parents to call for the child. The Center cannot be responsible for younger children disrupting programs not planned for them.

All children who register must present proof of inoculations. This should be in a form similar to what a school requires for enrollment each year.

The Chilmark Community Center depends on all its members for help. We expect and trust that members will cooperate with the staff, abide by the rules, and help keep the Center’s buildings and grounds clean and neat.

The Center reserves the right to cancel the membership of any person who does not abide by Center rules. Membership fees and tennis fees are not refundable.
